Recently, many people have been having difficulty with the latest version of Avast, the free virus checking software. Avast is all of sudden blocking access to POP and IMAP email accounts. We will discuss how to prevent Avast email blocking.

How to Prevent Avast Email Blocking

Step 1

Open Avast.

Step 2

Once Avast is open, click on Settings.

Step 3

Next, click on Troubleshooting.

Step 4

Then, click on Redirect Settings.

Step 5

Clear all the port numbers from each field.

Step 6

Check Ignore Local Communication.

Step 7

Click OK.

Step 8

Close Avast and the problem should be solved!
